IT’S ABOUT PASSION
Welcome to my portfolio
Singers, surfers, puppets and horses – I’ve shot them all and much more! I’m a freelance videographer based in Ireland, though my work regularly takes me abroad.
I have made a niche in filming the performing arts – an area I am both comfortable and knowledgeable in. That said, I enjoy branching into other fields to broaden my skills and experience.
My past work ranges from covering live performances, to short documentary-style pieces on the arts, and fast compilation edits of events ideal for publicity and social media.
I wish to explore the potential of multi-media projects combining film, fine art, and performance. If you have a project that would benefit from a touch of media flare, read on!

What’s my style?

I am equipped and capable of covering static events with long runtimes (i.e. corporate events or live performances), but my preference is for lightweight, dynamic ‘run-n-gun’ style shoots. This allows me to be close to the action, not just physically, but also conceptually and thematically.
I enjoy working with producers and performers. I excel when I can become part of the event itself, not merely the detached observer. For this reason, I am ideal for working on multi-day events or long-term creative projects.

Who have I worked with?
I have covered events for Culture Night [event producer], Con Brio [concert series], and Music Generation [education & outreach]. Long-term collaborative partners have been the renowned Sligo Baroque Music Festival, and the multi-disciplanry Helicona Project.
Why work with me
I have a diverse background and skillset that sets me apart in the area of arts videography. From my education and early career as a classical musician I can read scores and take direction, and having worked as a performer I know what it is to be on the other side of the lens. I instinctively understand how to fit into the environment whilst simultaneously being close enough to truly capture the essence of the moment.
I favour shooting lightly equipped which compliments dynamic environments and adaptability, as well as making it easy for me to travel either to and from, or as part of a shoot.
I am particularly interested in long-term or recurring projects – becoming part of the team and developing a relationship with producers/performers which in turn imparts an intimate and emotive quality to my footage.
